Support for Freemasons.

The Masonic Samaritan Fund makes grants to cover all or part of the cost of private medical treatment for eligible Freemasons who have a medical need, a long wait for or no access to NHS treatment and cannot afford to fund their own private medical treatment without undue hardship. The term Freemason is defined as anyone who at any time has been initiated into, or has joined, a Lodge under the English constitution.

There are no age limits, no qualifying period of membership and no requirement to still be active within the Craft.

The application process is straightforward and confidential.  An Almoner or Visiting Brother will be appointed to assist with the application but the Fund welcomes initial enquiries by phone or email direct from potential applicants.

Surgery or treatment should not be booked or undertaken before written agreement has been received confirming that the Fund will support the application.  Early contact with the Fund is therefore essential.
